Halloween Spook-tacular

Saturday night was our 7th annual Hammock Halloween Spooktacular. It's amazing to think back at how much this Halloween party has changed over the years. It used to be mostly adults and would last into the wee hours of the next morning. Now, it's all about the kids & gets over with a lot earlier. It's always been a lot of fun for adults & kids alike, though. And, this year was no exception...

Remember Lucky?

Do you remember the story of Lucky? The precious, tiny, put-out-to-starve, less-than-two-pounds pup that I wrote about here?

Well, Lucky has been busy...growing!

Yep, we're guessing that he weighs between 10-12 pounds now...with at least 5 pounds of that being in his ears!

Things didn't work out for Lucky to live with us. Turns out that our first-born pup, Triton, isn't too fond of having another male dog in the house...no matter what size it is! But, don't worry...we found the absolute perfect home for little Lucky. He is living (& running) the house with Mrs. Lisa, Eric's mom.

The arrangements have worked out wonderfully for everyone. Molly is still able to see Mr. Lucky anytime she wants & Mrs. Lisa has really enjoyed and benefitted from having this little pup's company around the house. And Lucky? Well, he's living the high-life! He's the king of the castle & sleeps in the bed with Mrs. Lisa every night!

What a wonderful ending for a pup whose story started out so badly! He has truly lived up to his name.

Ferbettes

Ladies & Gentlemen, may I have your attention please? I would like to introduce to you the "Ferbettes"...

I swear, I don't think I could take it if they were any cuter...

Oh, that did it...the curls did it! My heart just can't handle it!

We Have Visitors...

We have visitors...Lots... And lots of visitors... Between 200-300 to be exact... Molly loves taking them corn in the afternoons. I love listening to them honk & gracefully swim across the pond. They are such beautiful animals. And, the fact that they mate for life, is so sweet and absolutely amazing to me. But, I mean, come on...they all look exactly alike! How can they tell who is who?

I Love The Fair...

Before I get started on this post, I would like to tell my wonderful husband, Happy Anniversary! It's been a great 8 years, Eric, & hope for a lifetime of happiness together.

Now, enough of that mushy stuff...the fair was in town last week! And, anyone that know me, knows that I absolutely LOVE the fair. I love everything about it....the rides, the games, the FOOD, the way all the kids faces light up...everything! And, I think Miss Molly is going to love it just as much as me...

Oh, by the way...we won 6 goldfish at the fair, too! Unfortunately, we don't have much luck with goldfish...we're already down to ONE!
