Beautiful & Busy Weekend!

The weather was so beautiful all weekend. And, we definitely took advantage of it! Molly had another t-ball game Thursday afternoon...they are so funny! Afterwards, we went to Ware's with Mrs. Lisa, Shannon, Robin & Mr. Charles.
I've really gotten used to having Fridays off now & I think it's become my favorite day of the week! Last Friday, Molly & I went up town to buy some new flowers & ended up picking up a few more baby ducks, too. I planted lantana & put out fresh pinestraw while Molly ran around under the sprinklers wearing nothing but her panties! Later that evening, we attended Relay For Life where we met up with Mrs. Lisa, my parents & Braylon. Relay was at a new location this year & had a lot more things to entertain the kids. After Relay, Molly & I ate supper with my family at Ware's (2nd night in a row)!
Saturday, we headed to Dublin for Leah's 2nd birthday party. The kids had such a good time jumping in the bouncy house and playing on the swingset. Beth & Jaxson rode with us, and really enjoyed spending the day with them. When we got back home, we rode the ranger around the farm & the kids were excited to get to see a snake, some turkeys & geese and to get to throw rocks in the pond. Later that night, we met up with Tadd, Kevin, Stacy, Findlay & Riley at...where else?...Ware's (3rd night in a row)! The Mason's were also at Ware's that night celebrating Caroline get 1st runner up in the pageant, so we visited with them before we headed home.
Eric had worked all weekend, so we were very proud to get to spend the entire day with him Sunday. We loaded all the baby ducks up on the ranger that morning & Molly released them. They were so cute waddling around in the water! We then drove the ranger up town to eat lunch & then back to the Hudson's pool where Molly couldn't resist taking a dip (butt-naked)! I don't know how she could stand it...that water was freezing! Then, we loaded up & headed to the farm, where we planted corn, moved tractors, pumped up tires, turned on pivots & Molly played with a turtle! We headed straight to the Griner's from the farm for Supper Club. And, boy, were we ever exhausted by the time with hit the sack Sunday night!

Founder's Day Fun

Even though Eric was gone to the St. John's River fishing all weekend, Molly & I had a very busy weekend. We enjoyed spending the day together Friday...she was excited to get to go with me to my doctor's appointment. The ladies in the office gave her suckers & stickers. And, I couldn't help but think to myself..."I've been coming for all these years & having all this painful stuff done to me, but I've never gotten a sucker :)!" Later that night, we joined several friends at Ware's for supper...it was a lot of fun!
Saturday was Founder's Day, so were up & in Kite bright & early that morning. Molly's turtle placed 3rd in the turtle race & she was very excited to receive a ribbon.
Rhiana's turtle won the race & she couldn't have been more thrilled to receive her medal.
Braylon entered his "motorcycle" in the motorcyle show. It was too cute...he pulled it down there in his little red wagon attached to his Rhino.
He spent the entire week cleaning it up & was so happy when he won a trophy!
Later in the day, the kids (much to my surprise) entered the greased pig chase. Now, if you've never seen one of these, you are definitely missing out. I believe it is the funniest thing I've ever watched in my life. Unfortunately, I was laughing too hard to take any pics, but I did video it! Here is a picture of the little pig running between Molly's legs...(sorry about the quality...it's a still frame from the video).
Molly & I were so exhausted by the time we got home Saturday night. We ate supper, got our baths & headed straight for bed. Sunday, we went back to my parents to do a little fishing. However, Molly & Braylon were more interested in wading in the creek than doing any fishing. Then we came back to greet Eric when he got home. Of course, as soon as Eric reached Cooter Creek, it was time to head to farm. I guess he needed to make sure it was still there...ha! ha!
It was such a great weekend, but I cannot believe that it is already Monday again!

It's Friday!

I know today is actually Thursday, but it's a Friday to me! Starting today, we have Friday's off work! By no means do I like the pay cut, but I do think I'm going to like having Fridays to spend with Molly. We had tomorrow all planned out as our "girls day"...we were going to Statesboro shopping & to eat at Nikko's (our favorite restaurant). And then, we were coming back to get our toenails painted. Unfortunately, I'm having a little trouble with a biopsy spot from 3 weeks ago & we're going to have spend our "girls day" at my doctor's office. Oh, well...there's always next week.
We have a big weekend planned at Kite Founder's Day. Molly's turtle "turtly" will surely do good in the turtle race...I hope!
Until next week, here are a few pictures of Mo's last t-ball game to hold you over....I hope everyone has a great weekend!
"Wow...these kids really want that ball...."
"Nah...I think Greenlee & I will just stand back & watch...."
Not sure what kind of stance the girls having going on here....
That's more like it...now they're ready!

Happy Easter, Everyone!

Happy Easter, Everyone! I truly hope that you all had a wonderful Easter & was able to spend it with family, friends & loved ones. We sure did!
We were invited to attend Mrs. Gail Ware's tea party and egg hung Saturday afternoon. Molly was so excited to be able to dress up in her pretty little dress! As we arrived, we were greeted by a beautiful patio filled with little dining tables & chairs and tiny little tea sets. The girls were all given feather boas, pearl necklaces & big dress-up hats. There were even little bunnies to pet! The younger girls enjoyed getting to sit back while the older girls served them...
Their little wine glasses were filled with raspberry tea & frozen grapes. After their tea party, Mrs. Gail got everyone together for a group photo...
And then, sat them all down to tell them a story about the true meaning of Easter. Molly & Caroline were so amazed at story-time...
Or maybe not...
Afterwards, they were turned loose to hunt 500 Easter eggs. They had such a great time!
Sunday morning, Molly was so thrilled to see that the Easter Bunny had visited her. She even told me, "Mommy, I think I like this Easter Bunny-feller better than Santa Claus!" (If that's the case, we might can get out of Christmas a little cheaper this year!) Molly & I spent the day coloring Easter eggs and baking. Later that evening, we headed to my parents to hunt eggs with Braylon & Rhiana. They all enjoyed playing with their new bubble sets, running in the yard & playing on the see-saw...
These three always have a great time when they get together!

Our 2nd T-Ball Game

Yesterday, we had another busy afternoon! Molly had dance practice and then we headed to her 2nd t-ball game. Watching little ones play t-ball is so much fun!
Here's Molly in her wind-up (notice that she has her eye on the ball!)....
She has the funniest & prissiest run..."watch out, you can't see where you're going!"
This is her friend Caroline...she's 5 & a veteran player on the team!I wonder what she talks with the coaches about when she's on base...it looks pretty serious! When our team fields, the race is on for the ball...except for Molly, she saves her energy for running the bases. The look of a happy tball player...Enjoying snacks & drinks after a hard game...

A Child's Dreams...

Undoubtedly, Molly was doing some wild dreaming last night. Here's just a sampling of some of the things I woke up to hear her say... -"Mommy, I'm mad at you & I'm not going to play with you ANYMORE!" -"That pirate just slapped me right in the face!" -"Mommy, will you please make that turtle stop crawling across my belly?" These are the exact words that came out of her mouth...I promise! There's no way I could make this kind of stuff up!

T-ball Has Started!

It was another busy weekend! Molly had her first tball game on Saturday & it was so funny to watch! She did really good, though & we were so proud of her! Here is her team...
She's my little "MVP"...
And here she is hitting! She was the very first hitter of the entire game & she scored the first run of the game!
In case you've never noticed, my child is a giant for her age! Just, look at this picture.... The little girl on the left is 5 & Molly is as tall as she is! The two kids on the right are Molly's age, 3! And, she only weighs 30 pounds....this makes it very difficult to buy clothes for her!
Sunday, we went to have her dance pictures made! This was the first time I'd ever attempted to put makeup on Molly, so that was an experience! But, she was beautiful & smiled so pretty in her pictures!
After pictures were done, Molly, Eric & I spent the rest of the day at the farm. It was a lot of fun to get out the house & spend the day riding 4-wheelers, feeding turkeys, and inspecting the new bridge. We finished out the weekend by having Supper Club at the Mason's last night & playing the Wii. Now, it's off to another work-week!

Could You Turn That Rain Down!?!

Boy, have we had our share of rain this week! We definitely needed it & I hope it washed some of this pollen away, but it sure hasn't been good for all the farmers who are trying to get corn planted...or in our case, trying to get started planting! Wednesday night, we had a downpour! It was so loud on our metal roof & it woke all of us up several times. I laughed the entire night, because Molly kept waking up & saying, "Mommy, will you please turn that rain down! It is too loud." We have a busy weekend ahead of us. Molly has her first t-ball game tomorrow at 2:00. I'm interested to see how it goes, because they have not had a single practice! They are also planning on having t-ball pictures done tomorrow. We also have to take pictures on Sunday for Molly's dance group. I'm excited to see how all of the pictures turn out! My little girl is starting to keep Mommy busy!

Myrtle Beach 2007

Here's a video of Molly & Caroline running from the waves on our 2007 vacation to Myrtle Beach. It's amazing to see how much they have changed since then. Enjoy...
